Cross Country Trip-Summer 2002

After finishing my MFA thesis, I was exhausted. I'd been surrounded by concrete and stress for far too long in post 9/11 New York City. My solution: fly to San Francisco and explore the USA from West to East with a bunch of strangers.Through camping, hiking, climbing, white water rafting, rubbing elbows, and living in close quarters, the strangers became fast friends. Now whenever I feel overwelmed or stressed, I think back to the days of sleeping under the stars and dirty hiking feet.
